Valemont is the capital "barony" in the arldom of the Banner Hall, the primary title of His Lordship, Arl Thurston III of Banner Hall

Valemont dominates the center of the Arldom of Banner Hall, amidst the Arborwood Forest, in the Esie River Valley. It is ruled from Highhorse Castle, situated atop a large knob of rock along the bank of the river.

• Highhorse Castle is built on the spot where the former Old Banner Hall stood before it was burned to the ground centuries ago, and incorporates some of its surviving stonework.
