- Born to Lady Eliza, kinswoman of Lord Stagwood, though she "died in childbirth." He is ignorant of his father's identity (see Starkweather) and, as a bastard, is not in the line of succession for House Stagwood.
- Raised by Lord Stagwood thus explaining why PC is so Lawful.
- Raised as a man-at-arms
- Following a small skirmish (with a rebellious baron who was resisting paying his taxes to Lord Stagwood), Kenrick encountered a magnificent horse that showed no sign of previous ownership; he rode it back, intending to sell/trade the horse. Horse refused to leave him, & got him in trouble with whomever he tried to pawn him off to. This greatly amused Lord Stagwood who refused to accept the beast as a gift.
- Gave up trying to get rid of the horse when no one in Stagwood ranks was willing to even feed the damned thing.
- During the Battle of Crownsford, while attempting to convey information to Lord Stagwood, Magnus decided to lead a reckless charge against Kenrick's express orders to the contrary; charge turned the tide of battle.
- Kenrick awarded with knighthood, all the while insisting that he had nothing to do with it, and the horse should be the one knighted; still refers to him as "Sir" Magnus (or more often, "His Majesty," when he insists on having things his way)
- Magnus still gets him into trouble
- Recently departed Stagwood lands and is attempting to earn sufficient coin to buy his way into a grand tourney.
