Background
- Low-born, in Heroham (in Landbury), in 943
- Worked his way up through the ranks of the Heroes' Guild over decades, eventually named Steward, then chosen as Grand Master of the Guild around ten years ago
- Recognized by the King of Generica and other top nobles of the Realm for his bravery, cunning, and timely interventions; has been offered knighthood several times but always refused
- Has seen a little too much of the shenaniganry perpetrated by the noble houses, and wants no part of any of it (hence the refusal of knighthood)
- Has a special, dark place in his heart for the house of Lionheart
- Powers-that-be are secretly bothered by their inability to gain a hook into him
- Has mostly retired from "active duty" but will still occasionally put a boot up someone's ass at his age, if needed
Current
- Primary: Always trying to advance the honor and reputation of the Guild while keeping the Guild-family from flying apart, but things are always throwing the two out of balance
- Secondary: Married (a gentleman's daughter, a "prize" for a job long ago); wife is always fussing over his health, and he's finally starting to listen to her and capitulate, taking more breaks and reducing stress
