Free_Space is the most famous hacking collective that operates in Human space. Anti-corporation, anti-upper-class, anti-Confederation, occasionally-beneficial hacktivist group, spread throughout CHW territory, always looking for an opportunity to take the authorities down a notch in the name of personal freedom. The group is opposed to megacorporate overreach in-general and has the objective of proving that “the system” is flawed and unnecessary. The group's members hack into various corporate systems for destructive purposes in order to highlight its weaknesses and vulnerabilities.

The organization can trace its origins back to [Company] which at one point sent many of their founders, then engineers, to prison. Subsequently, after being eventually released, many of them went on to form the group and fight against corporate injustice and corruption.

The group is highly secretive, electing to meet and communicate in person, rather than through digital means which may be traceable. It is responsible for the massive distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack that took [Company] offline before being thwarted by cyber-security personnel. Supporters regularly protest the actions of governments, corporations, and individuals that they consider to be unjust by taking vigilante action, usually by carrying out cyber attacks, and posting warning videos on local networks.
