Details

Left on the steps of Oldminster Abbey, or at least that is the tale. Maykew was raised by the sisters along with the other orphans who found a place there. Maykew while good hearted was always a bit of a difficulty for the sisters. In most cases any trouble the orphans got into was either instigated by, or directly caused by Maykew. Maykew spent many of his evenings and free time left to ponder and pray about his actions. He spent many of these sessions with Abbot Getwelle.

Abbot Getwelle saw something in Maykew. Maykew possessed a strange connection with The Pantheon, and while Maykew was never the most devout in his actions, he was most certainly favored. Abbot Getwelle was very fond of exclaiming, “Only the gawds know why they favor you. Maybe it is just their way to confound me”.

Abbot Getwelle was the father Maykew never had, and Maykew would do anything for the old man.

When Maykew came of age and he was expected to take the cloth there were many within the abbey who had apprehensions. These misgivings were only more solidified when Maykew never showed for his ordeal, and when one of the lay brothers were sent to find him, Maykew was found in a compromising position with one of the female aspirants. It was only the intervention of Abbot Getwelle that Maykew was not completely ostracized, or worse excommunicated.

It was Abbot Getwelle who suggested that Maykew be assigned to The Guild as a representative to the Imperial Church. Maykew was showing much promise in the healing arts, and showed a capacity to defend himself and others. Besides, the appointment gave the Abbey a means to avoid a claim of failure in producing a proper man of the cloth with regards to Maykew.

Maykew equally favors the Daughter and Son. As the sayings go, “All is fair in love and war.” and “There is heat in both love, and battle.”

Traits

Militant cleric, total Mr. Vice-Guy, most time troublemaker and holy man.
